THEME: PRECISION DIAGNOSTICS
SSD Symposium 2026 was a sold-out, in-person event centered on Precision Diagnostics — helping clinicians better see what’s actually happening in speech.
Sessions went beyond theory. Attendees explored real clinical applications like using ultrasound in assessment, play-based evaluation for early intervention, and practical strategies for treating challenges like R sound distortions with clear, assessment-driven approaches. The focus was simple: tools and insights you can take straight back into your sessions.
And it wasn’t just lectures. The day included interactive moments, hands-on learning, a photo booth, and thoughtful touches like coffee, lunch, snacks, and giveaways — all designed to make it as engaging as it was valuable.

The SSD Symposium was created from both frustration and hope.
As practicing clinicians and researchers, we saw how often important research stayed siloed, never fully reaching the therapy room where it matters most. We set out to change that.
What started as a shared vision has grown into a sold-out experience bringing together clinicians who want more than theory. Each year, our goal is simple: bridge research and real-world practice, give clinicians tools they can actually use, and create space to connect, learn, and genuinely enjoy the experience along the way.
